Art Coaching for Portfolio Development

What is Art Coaching?

Most students submitting a creative portfolio for a BFA program, or to support their college application, develop about 25 pieces of art to submit by November of senior year. Each school looks for different art in their portfolios… some expect to see more observational and process pieces while others are interested in seeing conceptual pieces. Our art coaches understand these differences and guide you in creating work tailored to each specific school’s requirements.

ARTriculate’s creative coaches work one-on-one to help you build a portfolio that reflects your unique voice and showcases your talent, helping you stand out. We will help you refine your technical skills and ideate new projects outside of school assignments. Our 1:1 coaching includes ongoing critiques and recommendations, ensuring your portfolio meets school-specific requirements while highlighting your artistic strengths.

Students meet weekly with their coaches to develop foundational skills and their conceptual voice while producing portfolio pieces. Lessons are fully personalized to address each student’s needs and the portfolio requirements of their chosen schools. Like learning a sport or instrument, skills are taught during meetings and refined through practice between sessions.

Make you and your work stand out!

Maybe you want to be a fashion designer, video game designer, an animator, an illustrator, or an industrial designer?

A photographer, an architect, a film maker, or a museum curator?

There are so many creative majors and opportunities for you at the right school but it all starts with a FABULOUS portfolio! If you are a highly motivated art student looking to find the perfect match for you for college then YOUR VOICE as an artist needs to shine through your portfolio that you submit to colleges!

Our mission is to help you find and create that visual voice so you have the strongest portfolio for your college applications.

Let’s work together to make your portfolio stand out. This 12th grade artist used this piece to earn merit and Early Decision acceptance to Syracuse University, VPA.

Whether you are a 8th grade student who loves art or a senior who has found your passion, we work with all levels and abilities to help you to grow as an artist. If you have that passion deep inside then it’s there to be taught and developed!

Your education is one of the biggest decisions you will make in your life.
